Teatro Dal Verme is a historic theatre in Milan.
It once was a prestigious lyric theatre and hosted political debates. Today it’s used for concerts and movie shows. It offers a wide variety of classical, symphony, rock and jazz music. The Theatre was inaugurated on 14 September 1872, after one and a half years of works. On this stage some lyric stars made their debut, and the futurist genius Tommaso Marinetti performed his shows here. It was bombed by US in 1943 and restructured in 1946 as a movie theatre. In 1981 it turned to be property of Comune di Milano and in the end of ‘90 it was refurbished as a concert hall. In 2001 the new structure was inaugurated with a 1500-seats hall and a 200-seats one for exhibitions and conferences.
